EVERY dad in the MHS Touchdown Club is invited to become a member of the Dad's Club
The Dad's Club is all about the dads in our club stepping up, rolling up sleeves, taking the bull by the horns, and doing the physical support work that's needed to help build a successful football program here at McIntosh High School. It's also a great way to let our sons know that we've got their backs, and that we're behind them 100% as they're doing the work that needs to be done out on the field.
In 2009, a group of Chiefs dads worked together to build some large weightroom wallboards so that the Chiefs could display their weightlifting accomplishments, giving them some "visual goals" of lifting even more in future seasons. Several parents also joined up to help with the installation of the new Chiefs Totem Pole, and to clear out heavy brush surrounding the practice field to make it a more suitable place for the Chiefs to practice. These are the types of things our Dad's Club can help to do for our program.
In 2010, we're hoping to paint the locker room and weightroom, making these places where our Chiefs spend so much of their time more enjoyable. We'll also of course need dads to man the "chain gangs" at our Freshman and JV games. And if Coach Griffin tells us he needs our help in some other area, we'll be ready to tackle that as well !!!
. . . and it's a GREAT way to get to know some of our team's other Football Dads !!!
Remember: We are "the team behind the team" !!! |
